We have been with tiscali.fr using our RNIS line since moving to France in June.   However, they have now decided to treble the cost of our subscription    if we wish to continue to use Numeris.   We have consequently dropped to a more limited option and cannot now get the faster access that RNIS allows and makes the extra line rental with France Telecom a little ridiculous.   I note with interest comments on 9online.fr and wonder if you would know whether we will be penalised in the same way with Numeris?   Would we still be able to use Outlook Express with 9online.fr :?:    We use the internet purely for personal reasons and not for business.   Any comments would be gratefully received. The 9online.fr unlimited deal seems to work in the same way that the old Tiscali (hawk, spit) deal worked. I'm about to change over to it myself so fingers crossed - their T&C and public pronouncements seem to indicate so anyway.

Personally I would lam in a long and detailed harangue about their customer care policy. It probaly won't do you any good, but it may make you feel better knowing they have to read it. If enough people voted with their brains, ISPs like these could not exist. I must have discarded immediately on receipt at least 100 of their CDs, gnashing my teeth at the time because I know I'm paying for them through the magazine subscription to which they are attached. I hate the bar stewards  - and any other company that does not offer value for money but whose slick advertising gulls the punters (and removing the damned CD tears the page...). Bah!

I've got 9online numeris (ISDN) at the 24 euro.month unlimited use - and I have had it for about a month now - not really any problems. Occasionally have problems signing on. But am still getting annoying email from tiscali all the time - they even had the cheek to send me a e-birthday card.

further to the last post, I have just had one of my mails rejected by a UK university because the ISP was blacklisted. (mail-abuse.net) Seems as if 9online hadn't been responding to complaints about spam.

not a problem for me as i have alternative dial up connection, but perhaps worth thinking about?
