Dear Doc

Ive subscribed to your site for quite a few years now.  Although its not often that i need to ask a question, Ive learned a lot just reading those of others and your replies (and those of Jon and Michael).  I was always happy to subscribe in the past, even with the limited usage I made of the site, and im quite happy to continue to do so.

Im not at all surprised that your revenue income from advertising is so small.  I also subscribe to another hobbyist site which provides a mixture of free and subscribed bandwidth, and the free bandwidth is tiny compared to that of the subscribers, because the sole source of revenue is adverts and they pay next to nothing.

So Ive sent you a donation of £25 which I think is the amount I used to pay annually to you.  For my money its still good value.  I hope that others will join me too.  I'd hate to see this site founder.

Regards and Good Wishes

Laurie

I agree with Laurie. Come on everyone - make a donation of whatever you can afford. If you're not too sure how - sign into your Paypal account (or sign up for one - I use mine very infrequently, but it's useful from time to time). Click on the 'Send Money' tab and simply put the following email address paypal@mostxlnt.co.uk in the 'To' box and follow the other obvious instructions and Dr K then gets the money to pay for the site. Why should he subsidise us from his hard earned wages; he already provides his time for free (as do the other Admins). He ain't going to become a dot com millionaire from this operation - let's not make him a dot net pauper!

Just to add my support to what Laurie and Ron S have said above, and to repeat their appeals to support Dr K by sending a contribution to him soonest.

Hello Chris!

When I use the link that you originally provided in the "Announcements" page, I get transferred to a very suspicious page at the top of which is the heading "JOOMLA." I'm not going there! When I click on the very same link (apparently) that Laurie posted, I get transferred to my Email client, with the addressee as paypal@mostxlnt.co.uk . This, of course is what YOU posted, but the destination is not the same. What's happening, my friend? I do, indeed wish to send you some support (i.e, money), but I don't see an easy way to do it. Yes, I have paypal, but ... these anomalies bother me. Help me, if you can.

Larry

Oops. There's a 'Donations' button at the top of the page now, which takes you to http://drkeyboard.net/drk/index.php?action=paypal - I've fixed the other links too.
Thankyou very, very much everyone who has donated already and those who are planning to do so.

Quite happy to make a regular payment - will send my 'normal' subscription at end of this month.
Well worth it! Dick.
