Yesterday my AVG listed:

Trojan horse SHeur.AOUK (6 instances)
Trojan horse Generic10.AZGQ (4 instances)
Trojan horse Agent.AAAE (4 instances)
Trojan horse BackDoor.Ntrootkit.AB (4 instances)

It removead and healed them all.

Today they have recurred exactly the same - I have not yet reached end of scan but I hope it will remove them.

I have looked them up and SHeur sounds particularly nasty.

I have not opened any dodgy emails/links so am a bit mystified.  There do not appear to be any other symptoms (except sometimes slow running but I normally put that down to (eg) virus scan running) but I am concerned.

Anyone have experience/knowledge of any of these?

All help appreciated.

Thanks, Nigel.

I've approached AVG help desk, so apologies for raising here maybe incorrectly.

Any comments, particularly from AVG users, will nonetheless be most welcome.

Thanks,

Nigel

I'm running AVG Free 8.5 and haven't seen any of those show up. You may have received dodgy email that you promptly binned unopened. Or it could be a flase positive.

Thanks Jon.

I'm using the paid for version but I guess that should not affect what it finds.

I've used the diagnostic tool to send to the AVG help desk & I'll report back.

Thanks,

Nigel
